Can I be honest? I absolutely loved the idea of owning a house with a huge, wonderful garden. Eating fruits and veggies grown and plucked out of my own back yard is a vegan dream come true. Tomatoes, peppers, asparagus, and squash for free! Amazing! Continue reading →
Hey yall hey! Happy Saturday!
Today I have a jewelry post for yall. The company Soufeel reached out to me and offered to give me $100 worth of charm bracelet products from their website for review. I’m generally not a bracelet kind of person, especially not charm bracelets but I wanted to give this company a try. My brother recently gave my mom a Pandora charm bracelet and I was really curious how this company would compare to Pandora. Even if I ended up not loving the bracelet I figured at the very least I could possibly find a great place to purchase new charms for my mom. Continue reading →
Hey yall hey! Happy Humpday! Since we have turned the page on another winter I thought I should go ahead and roundup the last of the winter outfits I shared on Instagram.
I am so ready for the weather to perk up so I can wear dresses again but for some reason mother nature insists on keeping the freezing temperatures around.
While I’m talking about dresses I just want to let yall know Target has put out a ton of adorable new spring dresses. Just a heads up because who doesn’t love an inexpensive cute dress, right?
At this point I feel like many of my outfits are blurring together and I’ve worn the crap out of those Old Navy sweaters. They were a great investment. I think when spring comes around in a month or so I’ll be able to pair them with skirts too. Great buy!
Speaking of spring I wanted to take a minute to be very clear that it is still winter. In fact we are having our coldest weather yet here in Baltimore. I’ve been getting so irritated with people posting about “transitional” outfits and pieces. There is over a month until spring begins. It’s 4 degrees outside. There is no way in hell I’m going to wear open toe booties right now. There is nothing transitional about February.
Rant over. Please enjoy my outfits.
Hello my lovely readers. Today I have an Instagram roundup for yall. As I mentioned I think on an Instagram post, we are back to typical office wear at work. During the holidays the dress code was a bit more casual, but it’s back to normal now. Thus, I don’t have as many outfit of the day posts because I personally find office wear extremely boring. It’s just not something I find special enough to share.
So what I’m trying to say here is I’m probably going to space out my Instagram roundups going forward so that I can share more than 4 outfits at a time.
This first outfit is one of my favorites. I’m sure if you keep up with these posts you can tell I loved the sweaters at Old Navy this year. In fact, I’m wearing the taupe one right now! A scarf, jeans, and my comfy boots is just the perfect combination in winter. As much as I really am more of a dress girl, my body just does not get on well in the cold. And to be quite frank I have no interest in shaving my legs in the winter if I’m in pants 90% of the time. TMI, I’m sure.
Something you will also notice if you keep up with my Instagram roundup posts (previous posts here, here, and here) is that I use the same peices over and over again. I don’t have PR companies sending me products to feature and I don’t have the budget to buy new clothes every week. I buy a few things each season that usually can function for work and play, and if I really love it I get it in multiple colors. Sticking to that sort of shopping mentallity really served me well this season. I will say this year I definitely went a bit overboard buying scarfs, but I’ve worn a scarf at least every other day since fall so even my new scarfs have received a ton of use. Try as I may to be good, shopping is still my weakness so sometimes I just can’t help myself.
I would love to know what you can’t stop wearing or buying this winter.
