Hey y’all hey!
Today’s post is all about pops of orange. It’s not secret I love an autumnal palette. If I wasn’t such a rainbow junkie, I’d probably wear all orange everyday. Something else these outfits have in common is that they all feature pieces I’ve owned for years.
I’ve owned the orange H&M tank top in look #1 for so long. I, by no means, am advocating for shopping at H&M, but if you are on a limited budget you can find pieces that will stand the test of time if cared for properly. Always pay attention to the fabric quality, the stitching, and the quality of the finishings (in this case the buttons).
In look #2 I’ve owned the J. Crew flats for so long that I’m genuinely baffled at how they haven’t fallen apart. Pre-pandemic these were an everyday shoe for me. A nude flat might not be the most glamour item, but they are extremely versatile and practical. I certainly appreciated the practicality on the day I wore look #2 as I walked from the Union Station to the DC office for a busy work day.
It’s funny that two looks in this post are from in-office work days. I must subconsciously gravitate to orange for confidence. The 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target bag in look #3 was my everyday work bag prior to the pandemic. It’s crazy to think about how much time has passed since then. I remember being absolutely delighted when I realized my work badge fit perfectly in the small front pocket of the bag.
