May was such a busy month, but it was a lot of fun! We started the month by heading to Ocean City for a weekend to visit Austin’s mom and grandma. We walked the boardwalk, checked out SpringFest, shopped at Quiet Storm, and ate out at Blue Fish. Much of May was really warm and sunny. We were grateful to have amazing weather there weekend we were visiting.
Since May was so unseasonably warm, I got my garden planted early. This is a picture of my first tomato to sprout. Today that tomato finally started to turn red!
We also had a really cool new outdoor bar open in the neighborhood, Hampden Yards. We’ve been there half a dozen times already with different groups of friends.
I got to see Meet Me at the Alter,
Latrice Royale,
and Blink182 all in one week!
Honestly, May was a killer month. It wasn’t without it’s downfalls, though. We had to replace our HVAC system, which was super expensive and unplanned. We are very fortunate that 1. we found out early and could have the work done while the weather was still mild, and 2. we have a substantial emergency fund precisely for surprises like this.
