Life in the Time of COVID-19 | Week 26
Hey y’all hey! I hope everyone has been having a lovely few last weeks of Summer. I know my spirits have been high as Fall is my favorite season. I’ve been able to wear sweaters and I’ve been using pumpkin spice almond creamer in my coffee. Everything feels right in the world during this time of year (even though everything in the world currently is very not-right).
It’s been a couple weeks since I’ve last checked in so I want to start with one of the best highlights. We watched the movie The Dirt since I’m on a little bit of a MGK acting kick and OMG, y’all. That movie is seriously legit. It was so much better than I was expecting it to be. I was so impressed. It’s definitely going onto my list of faves.
We also watched Mulan. I know there are some political controversies surrounding one of the actors but I’m not well versed in that matter and didn’t know about it until days after we watched it. Mulan being one of my two favorite Disney cartoons, I was really excited for the live action movie. I have to say, I loved it.
And, all in that same weekend as the movies, we also started season 2 of The Boys. I hate that Prime has decided to go with a staggered release of the episodes. I wanted to see it all now! That said, the first 3 episodes were amazing.
It’s starting to feel like all I have to talk about is TV, but lets talk about more TV. I bought a subscription to WOWPresentsPlus so I could have access to the international Drag Race series. I am officially a drag addict and need a full on 12 step program. I finished Drag Race Canada – love the winner but overall unimpressed with the season as a whole. I also finished Drag Race UK and loved every single second of it. It may be my favorite season ever.
On August 31st Austin and I had our 8 years dating anniversary. We aren’t big celebrators, but it was nice to reflect on the past 8 years. It’s honestly wild how it’s only been 8 years, when it feels like we’ve had a lifetime of memories and experiences together.
I managed to make it a few days into September before I busted out the fall decor. I arranged all my autumnal mugs and placed out my pumpkins. I am in such bliss seeing my pumpkins every morning.
I’ve bought a few new fun fall pieces for my wardrobe which you can see on my Youtube channel. I’ve posted quite a few new haul videos with my best fall finds. I’ve also started a new What I Eat Wednesday series so that I could more of my love for vegan food.
I took a week-long break from working out. My body has been in such a state of stress from the Chloe Ting video workouts I was doing, I just really needed a break. I cannot tell you how valuable this week off was. I feel like a brand new person.
As we move into a new week I really want to get back into the habit of sharing photos on Instagram. I’m not sure how I fell back out of that habit but I did so I want to put some more focus into that. I also want to continue to place focus on my Poshmark store. I’ve sold quite a few things recently and that feeling is quite addictive! I love making money from decluttering my closet. It’s also fun to send mail.
My thoughts in summary on this week:
1. RHOBH has been a snooze this season. I’m not mad that its nearly over. I also don’t understand how people are #TeamDenise. Some of the faces she makes look possessed.
2. On the other hand, I’m so so happy we still have RHOP. That is the show that keeps on giving. If you aren’t watch Potomac, you’re missing out.
3. I cannot wait until Drag Race Holland starts. The promo images are stunning. Until then I still have Drag Race Thailand to keep me occupied.
4. I am actually looking forward to getting back into working out this week, which is so weird.
5. I think I’m going to watch Dancing With The Stars for the first time in probably a decade. The cast this season is hot!
