Life Lately

Hey yall hey! If you follow me regularly you know I took the weekend off, which felt really weird, but it was definitely necessary. I’ve been sick for nearly a month now and I just can’t seem to shake it. So, aside from a few plans I already had I really wanted to take things very easy this past weekend. I napped a ton and I think it definitely helped a lot. I’m still not feeling 100% but hopefully as the weather stops fluctuating I will feel better and better.

Because I’ve been sick I really haven’t been working out. I think it’s rude and irresponsible to be at the gym coughing all over the machines that all the members use. That being said I haven’t given up on working out. I’ve been doing small workouts while watching TV and before bed. It’s not much but it’s better than being completely stagnant. I’m hoping to be well enough to get back to the gym this week.

I’ve recently developed a major addiction to Pizza Hut stuffed crust pizza which certainly doesn’t help with the whole fitness thing, but luckily (sorta) my wallet doesn’t allow for me to order out often so it works out. Seriously though, stuffed crust is so good. They should make a whole pizza pie that is stuffed. That would be amazing. Aside from pizza, I haven’t been eating too bad.

As for makeup and beauty, I haven’t been buying hardly anything. The only purchase I’ve made recently was the MAC x Cinderella Stroke of Midnight Eyeshadow palette, which I’ve reviewed and actually really like. I’m hoping to create a tutorial with it soon. I’m also hoping to find the time to finish my Urban Decay On The Run palette tutorial series and do a series of tutorials using the Tarte Tartelette palette.

Since the weather will be nice again soon I would like to do lots of home DIY projects I’ve been putting off because I don’t want to paint indoors. This is not a definitive list but here are just a few things I want to work on:
~give my $2 flea market wine rack a fresh coat of paint
~repaint my small white book which will either go in the closet to organize shows or in the living room to functions as an entry way table
~spray paint flea market find picture frames and have my friend’s artwork matted
~a few of these jewelry organizers – so simple and smart!

So that’s all of the projects I have in line so far. I also want to work on finishing the gallery wall in our living room because it’s been half-assed for quite some time. I saw a tutorial on YouTube for creating pillow covers with cute second-hand sweater fabric. I’m planning a thrifting day to find fun things to use for crafting projects. We have a lot of great thrift shops and second-hand furniture stores in our area so I’m excited to browse around for some hidden gems.

I’m sure if you’ve follow me on any platform you know I’ve been planner goodies obsessed lately. I’ve really got in to it. I’ve always been someone who enjoys being very organized and excessively embellished so when I found the planner decorating community I immediately felt at home. To say I’m obsessed is probably an understatement. I seriously stalk the Target dollar section almost daily when I find out new stationary is released which is mildly insane.

I’m really excited for Spring and warmer weather. I hate Winter and I can’t stand being cold. Being cooped up indoors is so depressing and really kills my mood. I’m looking forward to filling our balcony with plants, going on hikes,  soaking in the sun (wearing SPF of course).

What’s been going on with yall lately?
