Hey yall hey! Today I wanted to share with you how I decorated a few of my cute little baby mini-pumpkins. As I mentioned in my Halloween decorating video I’ve tried to decorate very affordable this year so I stuck with one means of sprucing up the pumpkins. I also wanted to make sure they pumpkins could work for both Halloween and Thanksgiving.
Since I wanted to keep things affordable and simple choosing one paint color was definitely the best way to go. I chose gold because it would beautifully complement my orange and white pumpkins. It’s a warmer colors so it’s a perfect fall tone.
The only things I used besides the pumpkins were the gold paint, a paper plate, and one sponge brush. Super inexpensive!
This paint color is gorgeous but it wa sa bit sheer so I had to use 3 coats. I recommend looking for one that is an “enamel” or a “gloss”.
This is how my sweet little pumpkins turned out. Starting on the left I painted stripes around my larger orange pumpkin, I painted the bottom and the stem of the white pumpkin, and I painted the entire body of the smaller orange pumpkin. On the smaller orange pumpkin I only did two coats because I actually really liked how the orange was peaking through a bit.
I really love how my pumpkins turned out with fairly little effort. Maybe next year I will have some extra cash to buy tons more pumpkins and things to adorn them with!
