Ugly Christmas sweaters are a fundamental and ridiculous part of the holiday wardrobe. Light-hearted sources of plentiful giggles, ugly Christmas sweaters are about far more than comically bizarre nativity scenes on sweat shirts. There is a good deal of work that goes into finding a really great ugly sweater. When the evening arrives for the ugly Christmas sweater party to commence, it’s more than just a night of getting wasted (which is usually the case), it’s also about proudly sporting your meticulously searched out find.
One of my favorite things about ugly Christmas sweaters is that you can usually find them oversized so you can sport them as more of a tunic and pair them with leggings for really comfortable outfit. The ugly sweater party usually is more about drinking with friends than being a fashion superstar so you totally won’t get the stink eye for pretending your leggings are pants.
I accessorized my outfit with black heeled booties and a jeweled necklace, just to add a special feminine touch since I’m rather girly. If you have silly Christmas socks I would recommend sporting those since this is the outfit to go all out with. I also added a small green bag for holding all the essentials. Ugly Christmas sweaters are a great theme for bar crawls as well. If you are bar crawling you should go with a crossbody bag over a clutch so that you don’t drunkenly leave it in bar number 5, 6 or 7.
