Holiday Party Look Series – Getting Fancy

This is my final Christmas-y holiday party look of the year, though, I will have three New Years Eve party looks coming up after Christmas. For my final look I wanted to go with something that could be worn for a fancier event and could be found very easily last-minute.

To keep the outfit accessible and affordable I bought the dress and shoes at Forever 21, since most people have one in their local mall. Clearly, I didn’t have time to go around to confirm that this style was in all of the local stores, but by chance I did see it in two of the Forever 21 locations around the Baltimore area. Forever 21 and H&M are, in my opinion, the best places to buy party dresses, especially when you don’t intend to wear the dress often. You can find great pieces, trendy or classic, at extremely affordable prices so there’s no guilt if you only end up wearing them once.

I picked this dress because of the bright red color and the lace detail on the back. It’s both festive and feminine. The A-line also created a lovely shape on my body.

Dress: Forever 21
Earrings: Express
Belt: Steve Madden
Shoes: Forever 21
Bag: H&M

UPDATE: I unfortunately cannot recommend this dress in particular as it did not survive its very first hand washing. I’m definitely going to be taking it back to the store. I understand that the clothing from Forever 21 is cheap, but if you can’t even wash the item without inevitable damage it should not be sold in the first place.
