Maxi-mum Usage – Outfit of the Day

So what is one to do when their jeans are dirty and their legs are hairy? Well some of the proactive ladies out there might shave their legs, but I certainly aint got time for that. Instead I went closet shopping through my maxi dresses. It’s no longer Summer, but that doesn’t mean you can’t keep getting use out of your Summer dresses. I personally see no reason that a neutral maxi can’t be worn all year round (unless there is snow on the ground, then maybe that’s not the best idea).

Today I paired my black and white chevron maxi dress with a “grellow” open blazer, which is a bit warmer and less neon looking in person. I don’t like wearing a necklace with this dress since it has the tie up detail on the neckline so I only added some simple dangle earrings to complete the look.

I love this outfit for its simplicity and ease. It’s two pieces that were easy to throw on quickly. I swiped on some mascara, made a cup of coffee and was out the door. I actually hadn’t considered the fact that I could wear this maxi into Fall, but I’m glad I gave it a try this morning. Especially since I usually spend the entire day at work on Sundays I really appreciate a quick and comfortable outfit (being fabulous is clearly a must as well).

I hope everyone has enjoyed the first week of Fall. Can you believe it’s only been one week? It feels like its been Fall for a month. I’m really glad the weather in Baltimore hasn’t turned just yet. I’m enjoying the in between temperatures, but I don’t own enough pants so I’m not ready for the cold yet.

Hopefully Fall will bring with it a great changes and life just keeps getting better and better. On that note, I can’t wait for everyone to see the new site design, which should be up in the next few weeks. I’m really excited for it. I think the new design really matches my personality and style, and it has a much more professional appearance. I really love it and can’t wait to share it. I’ve really liked working with Zesty Media thus far.

I’m trying to get back into a more structured blogging schedule so definitely expect my posts to go back to normal. I’m aiming for one a day again, but we shall see how it works out.
