Friday Favorites and Life Update

Hey yall. I apologize for the lack of posts. I am looking into overhauling the blog completely so I have been spending a lot of my time reading other blogs, researching ideas I have, and really getting a good idea of what I want to do to the blog.

I mentioned in a previous post that I was starting a new job, but it turned out that there was a lot of driving involved with the position. I really hate driving, it makes me really nervous because I am always afraid that I’ll get lost and my phone will die. I know that’s a bit ridiculous sounding, but its none-the-less true. So, I ended up quitting that job before I wasted too much of their time with training me. I really felt conflicted about quitting so soon because no one wants to be a quick to quit wiener, but it’s ok to realized that something isn’t for you. There’s no point in working hard towards something that isn’t going to get you closer to your goals.

Anyway, I’m back down to just one job for now. It’s all good though. I really love working at Cloud 9. I love interacting with the customers, styling new outfits, being able to walk to work, the employee discount, and my co-workers. It really is a fun job.

I’ve spent most of this week in a post-beach depression. I love the sand and the water so much. Austin’s dad’s house has a dock on the canal that leads out to the bay. The deck has a small porch that I would sit on in the morning eating breakfast and reading magazines. That was the most peaceful, wonderful part of each day. I wish we were still there!

Since we aren’t still there I’ve been making the most of being home and having extra time on my hands. Me and babe went to a really cute cafe called Choux for drinks the other morning. We also had small kale spanakopita pockets. They were 2 for $4.99, flaky and spectacular. I had a chai tea and babe got a ginger lemonade, both fabulous. I certainly recommend checking out this cafe if you’re in Hampden for the day.

Another cute place to check out if you’re around the neighborhood is Luigi’s (I took the above photo and the description below from their website). Austin’s dad took us to lunch here. It’s a small Italian inspired deli with a short sandwich and panini menu as well as a few fresh salads in their display case.

This is the description from their menu for the yummy sandwich I chose. It comes on a baguette. OMG! Take me back to Europe!

This is the tuna sammy I got and the chickpea salad we all shared. A-maz-ing!

I haven’t posted many pictures that I’ve schnazzed up with this app, but I love using it. It’s so much fun to play around with. I definitely recommend buying this and going wild. It just makes everything look cuter.

I may have went a little bit crazy the other day downloading lolo fitness apps the other day. I already had Easy Legs, Easy Abs, and Boot Camp. I hadn’t really checked back with lolo for a while, but they have so many new apps now! So of course I needed all of them right….? Yeah, of course. I’ve already used Easy Arms and Stretching. They are both easy to use and customizable. My favorite part is that when you sign up for an account you can check online and see a calender of your completed workouts from every one of their apps. I’ve also been doing some of blogilates‘ workouts too. Her Back on Fire routine has me in serious pain today.

Well yall, that about sums up my week. It felt really good writing this blog for some reason. Really comforting. I hope yall have a spectacular weekend. Thanks for reading, love yall!
