The Magic of Not Wearing Makeup

Got Almond Milk Selfie

You can find this freakin’ sweet shirt HERE.

Hey yall hey! Long time no talk. I have another post planned to talk about where I’ve been and why I’m back in the game now but today I wanted to talk about the restorative power of not wearing makeup. I know we are in the midst of a makeup empowerment movement, if it can be called that. And I am all for people doing what they damn well please with their face and body. Cake it on baby! But for me, I needed a break. Continue reading →

The More I Use, The Less I Move

makeup

I’ve been fairly silent on the topic of house hunting ever since our first contract fell through, but I can say now with a fair amount of certainty that we are officially moving in just over two weeks! Excited doesn’t even come close to explaining ¬†how I’m feeling. Continue reading →

Hask Hair Envy Shine Oil Sampler Review

Hask Hair Envy Shine Oil Sampler Review

I haven’t been able to review very many beauty products over the past year since I’ve committed to buy very little in order to chip away at my stash. That commitment also included hair products so when I was afforded the chance to review these Hask hair oils I was super excited to have something new in my rotation. Check out what I think about them.

Small Sephora Haul

Small Sephora Haul

Hey yall hey! Long time no chat! I’m currently standing next to the stove and typing and I reheat some macaroni & cheese. Quite a random time to get the urge to blog but whatever.

I actually hauled this a while ago but I never got around to posting about it. I know, I know, I’m really trying to get better about that. A few months back my blue eye liner was smelling a little off so I trashed it and needed a new one. I’ve heard great things about the Kat Von D liquid liners so I knew that’s what I wanted. I think this dark blue color is called Baudelaire. It’s just a really nice deep blue without looking black. I’m very happy with it so far.

My purchase came with a few samples of the Josie Maran Exfoliating Cleansing Powder. This is a nut shell powder which means if used too aggressively it could cause damage to the skin. I find that if you use it with a light touch it’s quite nice. I’ll talk about it further in a future empties video. I used my points to get the Josie Maran Black Oil Mascara. I also plan to talk about this in detail in a future empties video, but to be brief – it’s good, not great. I also used my points to get a deluxe sample of the Tarte Tartegaurd 30 Sunscreen. I actually really liked how life the formula was but I could not use this on its own. I would need to layer this over another moisturizing product because I found it just wasn’t enough for me. It was also a bit difficult to get all of the product out of the container.

I have a few more hauls to post and hopefully¬†I won’t wait forever to get to them.

Paula’s Choice Haul

Paula's Choice Haul

It’s no secret that Paula’s Choice is my favorite skincare brand. I’m sure none of you are surprised that when my toner bottle ran dry I order another Paula’s Choice product. This time around I purchased the Moisture Boost Essential Hydrating Toner from the Moisture Boost line. I usually purchase from the Resist line but I wanted to mix it up a little. I would love to try most of the products Paula’s Choice offers over time. If you haven’t checked out the brand and you have skin concerns I highly recommend you do so. You will not regret it!
